Batman, the beloved name of the superhero world, has reached a huge audience with both TV series and movies for years. Released last year, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse aroused curiosity with its unique style. New claims reveal that the Batman series may get a similar animated movie.
Batman Beyond movie coming?
Fans of the iconic animated series Batman Beyond (Batman Returns) may have a new reason to get excited. Concept art for a Batman Beyond movie has surfaced on social media, suggesting a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and it made a big splash.
The concept art was created by designer Yuhki Demers, who has worked on many Spider-Man animated films. With writer Patrick Harpin, the duo presented a Batman Beyond movie to Warner Bros. a few months ago, and with the concept art, they offered a first look at the movie.
Initially, Warner Bros. reportedly said that this movie was not possible. However, after seeing Demers’ concept art and hearing the storyline, the studio was positive about the project. And with the success of Into the Spider-Verse, things got even more serious.
Batman Beyond, which first aired in 1999, told the story of Terry McGinnis, a new Batman mentored by Bruce Wayne in Gotham City. The animated series was beloved in the early 2000s for its visual style and glimpse into the future of the Batman story.
A movie adaptation in the style of Into the Spider-Verse would appeal to many Batman fans. Demers and Harpin’s idea will be presented to James Gunn, the new head of DC Studios. If approved, it will be considered by Warner Bros.
